William Samuel Parkyn:- born Blackheath in 1875. studied at Newquay and St.Ives. a marine and landscape painter he was especaally noted for his ability to paint sand.
Member of the St.Ives Society of Artists and former member of the London Sketch Club .
He exhibited from 1899 at most major galleries including the R.A., R.I., R.C.A. etc.
This is a delightful watercolour by this artist showing cattle grazing on the sand dunes at Gunwallow Cove
