Peter Webb

After graduating in law at Cambridge University, Peter Webb moved to New York where he worked as assistant to photographer and film director Howard Kieff.    He returned home in 1964, working as a commercial photographer on many prestigious advertising campaignes.   In 1974 he founded Park  Village Productions at his Regency Park studios.

               A multi award winning photographer and television commercial director he also photographed the Rolling Stones for their "Sticky Fingers" album sleeve.

 

In 1979 he won a BAFTA in the best short film category for directing " Butch minds the baby"

    The model for the "cowboy" was in fact a Cornishman who washed dishes at The Savoy and was discovered sleeping rough, on a park bench by casting director Patsy Pollock.
