George Worsley Adamson was born in New York in 1913 of British parents.   He moved to England at the age of eight following the death of his mother. Studied art in Wigan and later Liverpool and first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1937.

During the war he served in the RAF and was appointed as an official war artist in 1943.

 

A regular contributor to PUNCH and PRIVATE EYE and other periodicals, Painter, Book Illustrator and Print Maker.
